To readapt design & localize materials
Valinox, world leader in the production of tubes for nuclear power plant steam generators, decided to build a production plant in China to meet the needs of its many Asian clients.
Having adapted and localized the French design for tube production lines, CNIM Industrial Systems China built four production lines at its new plant complying with nuclear industry quality requirements and meeting customer deadlines.

Design adaptation along with strict confidentiality
CNIM Industrial Systems China’s team had to readapt the Valinox' design, localized the manufacturing and commissioning of the production lines. Strict equivalence in terms of performances and quality certification had to be ensured along with reliable raw material.
The stainless steel tubes, which met extremely high quality requirements, must not be contaminated by the production processes. CNIM Industrial Systems China therefore decided to use HDPE structures for all contact with the tubes.
Throughout the project, CNIM Industrial Systems China took steps to protect the confidentiality of Valinox’ production processes, as the tubes were subject to intellectual property rights.
A satisfied customer well-established in Asia
Another major challenge was to comply with a tight schedule, time already having been lost owing to the dropping out of Valinox' previous supplier. Within six months, CNIM Industrial Systems China had completed its work to re-adapt the design, the localization of production and manufacturing, preliminary assembly at the plant, tests and final acceptance of the four production lines by the client.
Valinox confirmed its satisfaction with CNIM Industrial Systems China by awarding a number of additional contracts for the construction of its plant involving, notably, the design and manufacture of lifting equipment (welded structures) and an electromechanical rail-mounted truck system with monitoring and control of the tubes's transfer.
